Curriculum Councils are established each year at the elementary, middle and high school level. The members of the committees assist the district in the design of an effective cycle of curriculum development. The elementary, middle and high school committees are comprised of teachers, building principals and the Director of Academic Accountability and Innovation. Each committee meets with the Director of Academic Accountability and Innovation and the building principals once a month, or as needed. The committees are established to oversee the continuous improvement of elective courses and content areas while providing lines of communication regarding the school district's curriculum. The members of the councils provide leadership and participate in the revision of curriculum, and are integral in the process of School Improvement.
