Welcome to Television Workshop and Journalism!  My name is Mrs. Hyland and I will be your teacher this year.  I am looking forward to a successful year.  Please use this website as a guide and instructional tool to help you throughout the year. 

I graduated from Peters Township High School in McMurray, PA.  I then went to college and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Waynesburg University.  After college I moved out of town and taught at North Marion Middle School in Ocala, Florida for 1 year. I returned to Waynesburg in 2007.  This is my fourth year at Waynesburg Central.  In May, 2010 I received my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Waynesburg University.

 

 I am the sponsor of the Television Workshop Club, the School Newspaper, and the Yearbook. 

 

My current professional development involvement include taking courses and attending conferences to educate myself on 21st Century classroom skills.
