A little bit about me:

I grew up in the Central Greene School District (specifically, Mt. Morris) and attended Perry, MBM, and WCHS, where I was involved in the marching, concert, and stage bands.  After high school, I went to WVU.  There, I earned bachelor's degrees in English and Secondary Education and played alto sax in the Mountaineer Marching Band.  I have completed 24 credits toward my master's in Special Education.  This is my 10th year teaching English at WCHS.

My daughter Katie graduated from WCHS in 2010.  She was involved in cheerleading, Alpha, French club, and Upward Bound.  She attended WVU for her freshman year of college and majored in Psychology.  During her very first year at college, Katie earned all A's and B's (I'm so proud of her!  Oh, and......Let's GOOOOO Mountaineers)!  This year, she decided to move back home and commute to Cal U. (also known as Harvard on the Mon).  She's taking general courses until she decides what she'd really like to do with her future.

Some of my favorite hobbies include reading, gardening, cooking, and working on my house.  I live with our six cats (yes, SIX!), and I'm probably about one cat away from being a "crazy cat lady."  Just ask my daughter--and my students!   :)
